So no story yesterday (or today, for that matter.) Turns out I was way off in my length estimations, haha. And going to the game instead of writing wasn't helpful. (Worth it though - they won big.)

The other day when I mentioned to mother that maybe I'd like to submit a short story to a magazine one day, she scoffed. An actual scoff. There is a lot of motivation right there, if only in the form of show-up-itude.

It's actually not all that difficult. You just have to do some research. Find a publication, see if it takes what you've got, and send in a cover letter. I can send you an example of a good cover letter if you like (the perks of Writing courses!) If they like your stuff, they'll take it.

Pleh, thats lame. But I too tend to be more motivated when people tell me I can't do something or shouldn't do it.
Also, about the Vic thing, that is most excellent. I think me parents will be here for part of the first week in August. We have shows both of those weeks, on Tuesday and wednesday (same repertoire for both weeks, in which there is rumour I get killed!!-we are doing a suite from Carmen)
But yes, I definitely want to do stuff, I am free during the days on tuesday and wednesday and all day thursday. We should make plans!

aw, I know you can do it, if it's what you want. And as you are an incredible writer, and obviously want to get stuff published, then you will. Period. Love!
